The Onelife Challenge
3rd – 4th July 2010
What is the Onelife Challenge?
On the first weekend in July Onelife is taking on a host of different challenges, including a world record for the longest 5-a-side football match, a 10k run and a three-legged 5k run! It’s a chance to connect again with people, to raise money and support for Onelife, and to get back into shape! There are other things going on also, including a BBQ and a big screen showing of the World Cup Quarter Final for those who are better at watching football than playing it…
A World Record
We will be attempting to set a world record for the longest 5-a-side football match, which will be 32 hours of continuous play! The teams will be approx. 15 players with rolling subs; you will be able to sleep several hours for every hour that you play. The players will be camping on site overnight, and Onelife will provide you with food over the weekend.
10k and 5k – three legged!
There will be a number of runs happening during the weekend, on a track set up around a field in the beautiful Latimer Valley. They’ll be taking place on the Saturday afternoon, to finish in time for the BBQ! There will be a 10k run as well as a 5k three-legged run – so if the idea of running 10k is too much, split it between two of you!
