Good to Great by Jim Collins
Five years ago Jim Collins asked the question, ‘Can a good company become a great company, and if so, how?’ In Good to Great Collins, concludes that it is possible, but finds that there are no silver bullets to greatness. This is not a Christian book, but he has some fascinating insights on leadership and where the Church might have got it wrong in the past…
Courageous Leadership by Bill Hybels
In the most important book he has ever written, Bill Hybels shares what he has learned about Christian leadership in the nearly thirty years he has pastored Willow Creek. It’s a great book for church planters, mission minded pastors, and high capacity volunteer leaders. In this book, Bill provides ministry and leadership wisdom from both his success and failure and shares the lessons he has learned through the journey.
The Power of Mentoring: Shaping People Who Will Shape The World by Martin Sanders
This is one of the best books on mentoring we’ve ever read. With its variety of practical mentoring models, it provides motivation for mentoring involvement, new approaches and skill-building exercises and implementation strategies. Definitely worth a read.
